How long does it take to fix a window?

The answer is it depends.

  • Double pane or insulated glass - insulated glass is custom-manufactured, factory-sealed, and has to be custom ordered. Our typical lead time is approximately 2-5 weeks depending on our suppliers work load (Summer months are usually longest lead time).
  • Single pane glass (non-tempered) – single pane windows can typically be repaired within a few days. We service all glass on a first come first serve basis.
  • Tempered glass – tempered glass must be cut and then tempered. Our lead time to repair tempered glass is approximately one to two weeks once an exact measurement is determined.
  • Laminated glass – laminated glass is cut in house and can typically be repaired within a few days. We service all glass on a first come first serve basis.

Why do you need to replace the whole unit if only one side of my double paned glass window is broken?

Insulated glass units are airtight units made with two pieces of glass separated by a spacer that is vacuumed sealed at the factory. Once one window pane is broken or the seal deteriorates, the seal is broken requiring replacement of the entire glass unit. Insulated glass and double pane glass are synonymous.

What is your warranty?

We have a 5-year warranty on our insulated glass against seal failure. We also have a one-year craftsmanship warranty. We cannot warranty glass against breaking once we install it.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept most major credit cards.

What is tempered glass?

Tempered glass is a safety glass manufactured through a process of extreme heating and rapid cooling. It is approximately 4 to 5 times stronger than standard annealed glass and breaks into numerous pebble sized pieces rather than large dangerous glass shards. Once cut to size, tempered glass cannot be re-cut as it breaks.

Do you repair window and door screens?

Yes, we can repair almost any screen. If the screen is damaged beyond repair we can make you a new one.

Do you do auto glass?

No, we focus our attention on flat glass.

Can you cut down my glass or mirror?

Yes, as long as the glass is not tempered.
